Community of Practice

Practitioners, policymakers and scientists exchange their experience on specific practical issues in Communities of Practice (CoP). The themes encompass a broad range of specific coastal issues for which solutions are urgently needed. Groups will be identified working at different European coastal sites and facing similar specific problems are identified and encouraged to create a Community of Practice. These communities organize workshops where knowledge and experience are shared and where possible solutions are explored. The workshops contribute to benchmarking and to the development of good practices for knowledge-based policymaking. End-users take the lead for a CoP. The results achieved by the CoP’s will be made available by the theme website to the European coastal community at large.
