Each national network has a National Coordination Office. The first task of the NCO is to ensure, stimulate and facilitate the process of knowledge exchange and cooperation between network participants at the national level. The second task of NCO’s is to ensure, stimulate and facilitate the process of knowledge exchange and cooperation between network participants Europe-wide.
The NCO’s also help to develop cooperation and advise on funding opportunities for (inter)national collaboration, exchange of researchers and international meetings, workshops, training courses, access to data and research infrastructure, etc.
Activities of the National Coordination Offices include:
® Establishment and maintenance of a network of national ENCORA ambassadors
® Partner search at the request of members of other ENCORA networks
® Promote national participation in ENCORA cooperation
® Keep web-directory complete and up-to-date
® Foster young Researcher/Practitioner Exchange Programmes
® Foster trainee opportunities or temporary positions
® Contacts with national funding programmes
® Dissemination of knowledge; tailored info to tailored user groups
® Facilitate access to research capacity, infrastructures, data and information sources
® Dissemination of results of coordination activities
® Facilitate harmonization of national programmes with international programmes
® Facilitate intertwining ongoing projects and jointly programming new research projects
® Facilitate harmonizing information systems and practices
® Assistance at the development of information campaigns for public and policy
